Dear Parents,
I hope all is well. At this time you are probably not thinking about the spring of 2008, but believe it or not it is here. Many of you have already registered your son to play in the 2008 season and that is great. I am writing you to let you know that there is an addition opportunity for your son to play more lacrosse this spring. This opportunity is call the Commitment Lacrosse League, CLL. The league is call the Commitment League because we are looking for players who want to commit to playing more lacrosse in the spring. This will entail a total commitment, no other sport conflicts. I can assure that the experience for the boys will be worthwhile. I will coach the team and be emphasizing skills and instruction to the game of lacrosse. We play other committed players from other towns and the MASS ELITE select team. Most of the teams are made up of 7th and 8th graders, but we will open up to 6th graders that are interested. The level of play in high for youth lacrosse. Games are played on Saturday Mornings beginning the last week in April and continuing through the middle of June. Practice are Friday nights and all games and practice are at Waltham High School. The cost of playing has yet to be determined.
Some towns have made this a select program for their program, we will not. If your son wants to play more lacrosse, the CLL is an outstanding opportunity. We have 7 returning players from last year and I want to get a rough idea of how many boys we'll have, so talk it over with your son and let me know at your earliest convenience.
